EU/EFTA Residence Permit (B Permit)
The B Permit is a 5-year renewable residence permit for EU/EFTA nationals exercising their right to free movement in Switzerland. Requirements include a job offer with a Swiss employer or self-employment. No quota restrictions apply. After 5 years of continuous residence (or 10 years for some nationalities), you can apply for the C Permit (permanent residency). Family members can join you. Language requirements may apply at the cantonal level for permanent residency applications.
