You must work in academia or research, arts and culture, or digital technology.

The main applicant has no English requirement for entry or extension on Global Talent. Settlement is separate: unless exempt, speaking/listening B1 applies before 26 March 2027 and B2 from that date, under the current rules.

There is no English language requirement for the Global Talent visa.

Global Talent does not impose a fixed maintenance-funds threshold on the main applicant. This does not waive visa fees or the applicable healthcare surcharge; it does not confirm every dependant’s eligibility.

For the initial application, obtain a genuine approved-body endorsement and apply within 3 months, unless you are the named winner of an exactly listed eligible prestigious prize. The endorsement or prize must remain valid; a group award or another prize from the same institution does not qualify.
