Skilled Worker Permit (L/G Permit) Checklist
Switzerland
For ordinary non-EU/EFTA admission, Switzerland selects managers, specialists and qualified workers. Evidence includes a CV, qualifications and employment references, with translations into an official Swiss language or English. For ordinary third-country employment, the employer must evidence unsuccessful recruitment of priority workers and provide a signed contract with Swiss-standard pay and conditions. Statutory exceptions may waive recruitment precedence. Third-country G applicants need permanent residence in a neighbouring country, at least 6 months living in its border zone, and compliance with labour-market rules. Return to the main home abroad at least weekly.
